ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING

Environmental engineering is the application of science and engineering principles to improve the environment (air, water, and/or land resources), to provide healthy water, air, and land for human habitation and for other organisms, and to remediate polluted sites.
Environmental engineering involves water and air pollution control, recycling, waste disposal, and public health issues as well as a knowledge of environmental engineering law. It also includes studies on the environmental impact of proposed construction projects.

SCOPE IN INDIA
Limitless job opportunities are provided by Environmental Science & engineering. Engineers can be recruited in Central and State pollution control boards. Engineers with a B.E degree receives a salary anywhere between Rs.15,000 - Rs.30,000. Candidates with a postgraduate degree may start with a decent salary range of Rs. 35000 - Rs. 50000 and with a Ph.D it becomes Rs. 50000 - Rs. 75000. A licensed engineer can expect a salary of Rs. 1 lakh per month.

SCOPE ABROAD
Job opportunities in environmental engineering are galore. Prime job avenues that absorb most of the environmental scientists and environmental engineers include federal, state and local agencies which are appointed to protect environment from possible damage and hazards.
